mY triP 2 hUt@n lIpuR Sung@i c0ngK@k

Yesterday, I followed a one day trip which was organized by CW to Hutan Lipur Sungai Congkak. Again, we were planning to catch insects for our Biology project. We need at least 25 species and…….. it’s not as easy as I thought it’ll be!!! This time, there is no more ‘body guard’ to help us out. Fortunately, we got a talkative plus protective ‘big sister’, WoonMei with us this time. Another two groups followed us there. They are all my classmates except WM. We went there early in the morning. It was raining again on our way there!! The rain really loves me huh?!
We reached there quite early. There were no other visitors yet. Moreover, Hari Raya falls on that day. So, we thought we were the only visitors there. However, we were wrong. A lot of visitors came in later to picnic and camp there. Most of them were Malay and this surprised us. We just wondering what brought them to celebrate Hari Raya in the forest!!!!
Since, it was ‘Hari Raya’, the ‘forest ranger’ were away for holiday and we did not manage to go deep into the forest. We just walk along the little road (specially made for visitors) to look for insects. The road is quite long actually. Half way on the road, I saw a long earthworm…..ew…. it was so scary and ugly and we girls were all shouting at it (normal action huh?....just wondering why we shout at it when it was 1 meter from us!!). It moves in a zigzag way. This is the first time we saw a REAL EARTHWORM!!
Then, we find a suitable place to put down our stuff. It was beside the river. One of the groups managed to catch a beautiful bright green dragonfly by the river. So, my group members decided to try out our luck. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The dragonflies were flying too fast. We had to stand still on the soft wet sand to avoid falling down into the river. This caused us difficult to catch them. Eventually, we gave up.
We went further up to the road. To our amusement, there is a beautiful field there. A lot of dragonflies were flying around the field. We caught eight dragonflies! It’s great!! We also caught a huge ant at the nearby hut. Then, CW screamed. There was a leech on her leg! My goodness… we totally forgot about the existence of leeches in this type of place. Fortunately, the leech was a small one and was just about to suck her blood. ‘Big sis’ quickly pulled it off from her leg. Thanks to her loh….
We went back to our place to have our lunch. It’s already noon… We decided to head down to the playground which is specially made for the children and the old people) … but, who cares? All we want is just to have some fun!! However, instead of going to the playground, our ‘big sis’, WM saw some bicycles outside the head office which is opposite the playground. They were so excited 'cause going up and down the road was quite tiring and a bike might help to save up their energy. SH and I, on the other hand were a little embarrassed 'cause we don’t know how to ride! My friends asked us to learn!! Hey, they can’t expect us to know how to ride at the same day. I mean I go there for the insects, not to learn riding!!..haha, whateverlah!! Anyway, our ‘big sis' offer to ride me down the road (only), HS and I had to walk if we want to go up 'cause it’ll be too tiring if she rides me up. Well, better than none right?
On the way back to our place, we noticed a huge group of Arabian was picnicking on a spot. They were all Muslim. I mean real Muslim. Unlike Malaysian, there, the young and old ladies were wearing ‘tudung’ on their head. I think I’ll love to mix around with them if I get to know them. Even the kids are adorably cute. I also noticed a very good looking young gentleman among the Arabian group (really cant help to look away from his face!!....=P) Hmmm… by looking at their expression, I can tell that they were having a good time together. Hopefully, they'll have a good Raya in M'sia.
Back to our place, Maria, Dinesh and Baran were already enjoying themselves playing in the river. My group members went in to join them. I didn't join in 'cause I just get well from sick. ‘Big sis’ also did not join them. We went back to the field again to take some pictures. On the way back, we saw the good looking Arabian guy again riding on a bike. He was smiling at us!! Oh my god!! He was damn good looking that I think he can kills us girl all by just using his eyes!!
Oh my god, I can’t think of anything else anymore but the good looking Arabian guy….. hehe…ok, lets continue. Then, my ‘big sis’ ride me down to the road. Whoa!! It was very exciting. But, I think it would be more exciting if the one who ride me down the road is the good looking Arabian guy….hehe. Shysss, don’t let my ‘big sis’ hears that. Oh yes, I also saw a group of photographers taking picture beside the river. They really put in their full concentration and a lot of effort on the photographing and this reminded me of my cousin who is also a photographer. I don’t really know anything about photographing but I do like to take pictures. So, here I wish them good luck. I also saw a group of people with huge tattoo all over their body. Wow! I hope they are not there to fight…… Perhaps, the tattoos can help them get ride of the mosquitoes…… lol!!
Later in the evening, our driver told us that he might be a bit late to pick us up. We were starving man. Mc Donald and Pizza Hut came into our mind. We went to the main entrance to call for the delivery…..but, whoever will deliver it miles long into the forest!! It’s just very funny. We did make the call but at the end, we just have to forget about it.
I think that’s all for that day. We reached home quite late at night. My group members caught six dragonflies (two different types), three butterflies (1 small and 2 big), two huge ants and a few more insects which we have never seen before. Although it was tiring, to me, it was a really good experience….ZZZzzzzz (hopefully, the good looking Arabian guy would come in my dream!!)zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz……………………..
